いらっしゃい ! [irasshai!]

For nearly three decades, Joss Cafe & Sushi Bar has had the privilege to serve the City of Annapolis and its many guests. We specialize in Japanese cuisine, and more specifically, nigiri and maki sushi while offering many contemporary items that are as unique as they are delicious!

Our humble beginnings recount a small 31 seat storefront towards the top of Main Street in September of 1991 that grew to a major renovation in 1999 that doubled our seats and kept our locals hungry for more. July of 2012 would see the further expansion and current iteration of Joss Cafe, that now boasts an open air patio and full bar in the reception area.

“Joss” refers to the incense that is burned as an offering for fortune and protection and has come to reflect our sincere gratitude to have been fortunate enough to develop such a loving feeling of community in our fair town. So we welcome you - greeting with the traditional “irasshai!” at the door - and thank you for enjoying your meals with us year after year, decade after decade. Kampai (cheers!) to the years to come!
